Don't miss this! I flew to Columbus, Ohio from California to view renowned photographer Annie Leibovitz's complete "Master Set" and other photographs from her diverse and broad range of work and I am glad I did. 

More than 200 of her photographs are on view now through December 30, 2012 at the Wexner Center for the Arts on the Ohio State University campus in Columbus, Ohio. 

Annie Leibovitz is the 2012 recipient of the prestigious Wexner Prize which recognizes an artist whose work reflects exceptional innovation and the highest standards of artistic quality and integrity.  

I've visited exhibitions at many of the greatest museums in Europe, Asia and in the U.S., and the Annie Leibovitz exhibition ranks right up there with the best. The Wexner Center for the Arts is the first institution to be able to exhibit the complete "Master Set" which is a collection of 156 photographs personally selected by Annie Leibovitz.

The exhibition shows photographs spanning 40 years of Ms. Leibovitz' extraordinary career. The from early years as the Chief Photographer of Rolling Stone, to portraits of celebrities and notable people of the past spanning 40 years from Muhammad Ali, to President Barack Obama and Queen Elizabeth.

Hideki Matsui announced his retirement at age 38 on Thursday in Manhattan. Known as "Godzilla" to baseball fans in Japan and U.S., the 6 foot 2 inch, 210 lb. athlete has had an illustrious career in both countries. 

He was named World Series Most Valuable Player in the U.S., and three times was named the Central League Most Valuable Player Award in Japan. He played seven seasons from 2003-2009 for the New York Yankees, and ten seasons for the Yomiuri Giants of Japan's Nippon Professional Baseball.

He had a $52 million dollar four year contract with the New York Yankees through 2009. Matsui helped the New York Yankees win the World Series, defeating the defending champion Philadelphia Phillies earning him the World Series Most Valuable Player Award. At the end of 2009, Matsui agreed to a one-year $6.5 million dollar deal with the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim.

In addition, Matsui played one year stints with the Oakland Athletics, the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, and the Tampa Bay Rays. He was a basebal outfielder and designated hitter, batting left-handed and throwing right-handed.

Tsujihara, 48, the twenty year Warner Bros veteran was named CEO on Monday and is expected to take over the post March 1. 

He has been president of Warner Bros. Home Entertainment since its founding October, 2005. He has managed the studio's DVD business, as well as a range of responsibilities outside of the television and movie business helmed by other divisions, from games acquisitions and content distribution via VOD and other digital platforms.  

Tsujihara received his BA in business administration from Universiaty of Southern California, and an MBA from Stanford University.

Its been reported in the news media that Tsujihara has a humble and low-key management style, and was considered a "Black Sheep" of the list of likely candidates for the CEO post. Current chairman Barry Meyer, told LATimes.com "Everyone needs a leader, and Kevin was the best equipped to unify the company at this time." We just thought he was the best for the whole company."

He is the son of chicken farmers in Petaluma, California, and grandson of Japanese immigrants. When he becomes CEO on March 1, he will be the fifth CEO in Warner Bros. 90 year history, and the first Asian American to run a major Hollywood studio.

Houston Rockets' Jeremy Lin made an appearance and talked with fans at Golden State Warriors Asian Heritage Night.

 Lin's appearance at Asian Heritage Night event is hosted by the Golden State Warriors and Cache Creek Casino Resort, February 12 when the Warriors play against the Houston Rockets at Oracle Arena in Oakland, California (7:30 p.m. PST). The event will also be aired live to China on CCTV.

NBA Entertainment will produce a live feed capturing the February 12 in-arena celebrations, events and activities to air live in China on CCTV.

A portion of the event night ticket sales benefit the AsianWeek Foundation to increase awareness for Hepatitis B, one of the most common untreated diseases in the world that currently affects 1 in 10 members of the Asian/Pacific Islander community

The Warriors Asian Heritage Night is part of the NBA Chinese New Year Celebration 2013, its largest international tribute ever from February 7-14.

Warriors players will wear specially designed Adidas shooting shirts on Friday, February 8 against the Memphis Grizzlies and Tuesday, February 12 against the Houston Rockets. Designed and developed by Adidas, the shooting shirt features “Year of the Snake” graphics that integrate the NBA logo, Chinese characters and basketball elements.
